INGRID YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHY

FAQ

How would you describe your style of working?

I would describe my style as friendly yet unobtrusive. I love shooting weddings, and I enjoy meeting the friends and family of the couples I work with, but I try to stay in the background for the most part, recording the events of the day as they unfold.

I see that you are a photojournalist. What exactly is "photojournalism?"

Photojournalism is telling a story with pictures. It's capturing moments as they happen.

What kind of equipment do you use?

I use top-of-the-line professional digital camera equipment. I have a lighting kit for illuminating large spaces. And I always have back-up gear on hand, just in case.

Do you shoot posed portraits as well as take documentary images?

Yes, posed group photos of family and friends and classic portraiture of the couple are invaluable pieces of family history. I work with each couple before the wedding day to create a concise list of portraits to ensure that the process goes as smoothly as possible.

Will you visit our ceremony and reception sites before the wedding?

If I'm not familiar with the locations, I will visit them before the event.

Do you require a meal?

Yes, please feed your photographer and your photographer's faithful assistant. We love food, and we've never said no to a slice of wedding cake.

Do you shoot out-of-town weddings? If so, what are your fees for travel?

Yes, I am available to shoot weddings anywhere in the world, and I'm happy to work with clients to create custom packages to suit their specific needs.

I'm interested in having you photograph my wedding. What's the next step?

I like to meet clients in person during this very important decision-making process. This gives us a chance to get to know each other a little, answer any questions you might have, and make sure that I am the right photographer for you. If you decide to book me, a deposit for one third the total fee is required to reserve the date.
